External Data Protection Officer
The national and European regulations authorize the fact of entrusting the mission of the Data Protection Officer (DPO) to an external company.
Depending on their core business, the type of data being processed, and the processing activities being performed, companies and other organizations are required to establish such a role, especially if they process a significant amount of sensitive personal data.
Since TPO has staff members with many years of experience and certified knowledge in data protection (both in the legal field and in the field of IT security), the role of the Data Protection Officer is part of the portfolio of services that TPO offers to its customers.
TPO then monitors compliance with the applicable data protection regulations in accordance with Articles 38 and 39 of the GDPR.

Annual Report
In order to make the appointment of TPO as the Data Protection Officer of your company/organization official, a specific contract will be concluded prior to communicating TPO's contact details externally and to supervisory authorities. Within the framework of this contract, TPO carries out the tasks set forth in article 39 of the GDPR. The standard procedure resulting thereof includes among others a year-end audit.
In order to ensure this audit, TPO organizes meetings with Data Business Owners to review and update, if need be, the processing activities in the TPOmap software.
On this basis, an annual report including an updated compliance roadmap for the following year is being prepared, presented, and explained to management.
Additional activities
If need be or upon request, the Data Protection Officer may perform additional tasks related to the execution of the roadmap in accordance with Article 38 (6) GDPR.
Access to TPOmap
In order for TPO to perform its supervisory role, it is essential that all available relevant information be managed in the TPOmap software and that TPO has access thereto.
